For some reason yahoo evite would not accept my response.
Thank you for taking the initiative to volunteer and do good work for the samaj. At this time my son is too young, therefore, we would not be attending this event. However, I believe that this is a good idea and should be arrange once a year. If enough people participate, it will be a good idea if some people can also act as a mentor for the youth.
Once again thank you for the thankless and tiresome work you do.

Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!
Wow You guys were great!!! What an accomplishment. We got a lot done. We kept our motto “Team work and unity there in lies our success. " The message yesterday was positive, enthusiastic and energetic and joyful. Our youngest youth did a wonderful job of the mural, look at the colors of life we brought into their lives; they did not want to go home!!!!
Thanks Punita
Positive encouragement and hard work gives positive results.
Please join us if you can Thursday night to do last touches before diwali.

Thanks to HMPS for organizing this event. I was particularly pleased that we had a good turnout given people's busy schedules. There were plenty of good comments and recommendations for us to consider as points to ponder or things to improve on. Here are some of the things that I can remember:
1. There was a suggestion of doing a group activity like a charity drive.
2. Monthly (or bi-monthly) get-together activity for movie, bowling, etc.
3. There was a comment about low attendance of the "Jadoo" or "I Love My India" kids age group.
4. There was a comment about low attendance of college students.
5. Here's one that is heard quite often: we see the same faces all the time!!! The question was posed as to how we improve to get a broader attendance.
6. There was a discussion about internet chat. For those interested, our yahoo group has a chat facility. Some of you are not too enthusiastic about yahoo's chat facility. If there is an interest in this area, I would install a chat facility specifically for our youth group. Let me know what are your thoughts in this regard and I will make it happen.
I am sure you guys will remember much more. Please feel free to add more comments, questions, and/or concerns as you deem fit. Make this yahoo group a place where people can send emails freely to foster communication in all directions rather than just announcements of life events.

Great local convention it is a beginning of a great future for our kids to follow. Everything went as it should, we always need room to improve for the next time or else it would be too boring!
Thanks to all the volunteers especially the quiet ones Nayanbhai and family for set up and clean up. Priya and team for the children's room excellent job!!
We need more people like you to be there for the Samaj even in your busy schedules.

Thanks for a wonderful Matiya convention on Saturday. This has been a great start in a forum situation for community members to open up to issues pertaining to the growth of our community and its future. Obviously, this does not come about by magic. It comes about by people making it happen. Hats off to you for making it happen!

“KUDOS” to the HMPS Committee and all the Volunteers – we congratulate you all for a very well organized picnic. It was a pleasant surprise to see such a large turnout and not only that, a turnout representative of our Community in all ages.
At one point I remember looking around and I could see activities in every direction from the 3 volleyball courts, a football game , cricket, senior ladies at bingo, children’s Olympics and last but not the least the Feasting activity.
One would have thought that the LA Lakers playing a pivotal playoff series game 4 would have precluded some diehard fans from attending this event BUT …… would you believe even that was accommodated with a TV ( yes , a TV in a park at a picnic – AWESOME !!!! )
All in all , a great job by all , organizers , volunteers and attendees .
Lets keep up the good work and see you all at the next event .
